Job Purpose
The Staff Accountant will perform a variety of accounting and financial duties. While this position will be assigned core duties, they will be cross-trained in all accounting functions (Month Close, GL work, AP, AR) to enable the back-filling of duties when necessary. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and demonstrated knowledge of technical and operational accounting and finance functions are a must.


  • Input authorized payment instructions via bank portal.
  • Be a support role for the Accounts Payable department.
  • Ensuring all federal, state, local and business registrations are accurately completed and filed timely.
  • Assist Accounting Staff and Management in month end accounting close process.
  • Assist with Billing, Collections, Accounts Payable, Payroll, GL reconciliations.
  • Perform vendor validation and assist with 1099 preparation.
  • Gather data for tax reporting
  • Contact taxing authorities to inquire about tax notices received
  • Perform other duties and projects as needed.
  • Run Accounts Receivable report weekly.
  • Monthly reconciliation and lead on Fixed Asset reporting.


  • Bachelor’s degree majoring in accounting.
  • 2-3 years of professional experience in an accounting or finance role (internships included).
  • Good knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Experience with automated accounting systems (Intacct or similar applications).
  • Strong attention to detail, proficient at establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Capability to work in fast-paced environment, with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
  • Ability to work in a positive and cooperative manner with fellow team members.
  • Professional, punctual, dependable, reliable, with a desire to learn.

  • The position is currently home-based due to COVID19
