OUR MARKET POSITION

Great Minds’ Eureka Math is the most widely used curriculum in the history of American education. It enjoys an unrivaled 40+ net promoter score. Eureka and its sister products, Wit & Wisdom English and PhD Science, embrace much higher expectations for all students and all teachers. In a market dominated by scripted, procedural materials that drive expectations down, Great Minds produces curricula that celebrate knowledge, respect the craft of teaching, and acknowledge the true capabilities of students.

Job Purpose

The Senior IT Project Manager will drive the successful delivery of technology initiatives using Agile frameworks, particularly Kanban. Acting as a servant-leader, this role empowers teams, streamlines delivery processes, and removes impediments while integrating traditional project management practices for larger, complex initiatives. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver, coach, and mentor who ensures alignment of technology delivery with organizational priorities.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills and be comfortable interacting with all levels of the organization. We are seeking a self-starter, with a bias towards action, who can recognize and make process improvement recommendations. Candidates must also be self-motivated, team-oriented, and passionate about technology and bring a mindset of continuous improvement to the team.

Responsibilities

This individual will be responsible for delivery of the product roadmap for one or more technical verticals:

  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including standups, retrospectives, backlog refinement, and planning sessions.

  • Optimize Kanban workflows, ensuring healthy WIP limits, transparency, and accurate tracking.

  • Identify and remove delivery blockers, escalating when necessary.

  • Mentor teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders in Agile and Lean principles.

  • Encourage a culture of experimentation, innovation, and continuous improvement.

  • Support team members in professional development and skill-building.

  • Manage complex projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, timelines, and deliverables.

  • Provide clear, consistent updates on project status, risks, and outcomes.

  • Track team performance using KPIs such as cycle time and throughput.

  • Use data-driven insights to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements.

  • Automate workflows and reporting in Jira to enhance visibility and efficiency.

  • Ensure delivery roadmaps are aligned with business priorities and technical readiness.

  • Balance Agile delivery practices with traditional project management for larger initiatives.

  • Promote collaboration across cross-functional teams and resolve dependencies.

Job requirements

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience leading Agile delivery teams in a technical environment.

  • Proficiency with Jira or similar Agile project management tools.

  • Strong understanding of Kanban and Scrum methodologies, as well as Agile frameworks for scaling (e.g., SAFe, LeSS).

  • Proven ability to balance servant leadership with delivery accountability.

  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and facilitating collaboration across business and technical units.

Qualifications

  • Agile certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Master, Kanban Management Professional, or SAFe Agilist).

  • PMP or PgMP certification for traditional project management expertise.

  • Experience delivering large-scale SaaS or enterprise IT projects (e.g., Salesforce, ERP, etc.).

  • Working knowledge of Lean principles and tools (e.g., value stream mapping, RICE prioritization).

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and modern cloud-based technologies.
