We are currently seeking a high-performing and detail-oriented Senior Finance Operations Analyst to support the Accounts Payable (AP) and Payroll functions within the Accounting department. The position reports directly to the Manager of Liabilities and Payroll. The ideal candidate will have a strong background and experience working in the AP, T&E and Payroll functions. The Sr. Operations Analyst will be comfortable support all aspects of the Account Payable function including responding to operational issues that can arise daily.

This position is also responsible for “backing-up” the Payroll Processing Specialist. This includes processing the bi-monthly payroll, ability to interact with representatives at ADP and understanding and complying with state payroll regulations. The Sr. Operations Analyst will support the Manager in documenting and reviewing Accounts Payable, T&E and Payroll current state processes while recommending process improvements. This person should have experience working with Intacct’s Accounts Payable, Procurement and Fixed Asset modules or a similar enterprise GL system.

The Analyst will be responsible for numerous special operational projects requiring strong analysis and process redesign skills. This includes drafting process workflows, documenting desk-top procedures and creating training materials. Knowledge of best practices in AP and Payroll processes is critical. The Sr. Operations Analyst will also be responsible for supporting the implementation of additional Intacct systems functionality which may involve the drafting of business test scripts and participating in User Acceptance Testing of new applications and or Intacct functionality prior to implementation.


  • Support the day-to-day AP operations as needed. This includes assisting with month-end close, responding to ad-hoc requests and resolving operational problems as requested by the Manager.
  • Serve as “back-up” to the Payroll Specialist covering all aspects of the payroll processing operations as needed.
  • Maintain and update, as necessary, the AP and Payroll policies, processes, desk-top procedures, and training materials.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements for implementation across the company
  • Participate in the planning, testing, and implementation of new systems applications within the AP and Payroll departments
  • Drive ad hoc and business-critical operations projects through to completion
  • Assist with all aspects of the implementation of new applications and any enhancements to the Intacct AP and Procurement modules
  • Perform special projects, research, and other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor's degree with a major in Accounting
  • 5+ years of work experience in a corporate Accounts Payable and Payroll function
  • Background in supporting process redesign and the implementation of process improvement initiatives
  • Strong written communication skills. Practical experience in drafting policies, processes, and desk-top procedures
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple assignments in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
  • Working knowledge of Intacct or another enterprise GL system is a required
  • Strong analytical and accounting skills
  • Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Confidence, good judgment, and strong interpersonal skills are necessary to successfully work in this dynamic, multi-business unit environment and interact across multiple business functions and with all levels of management
