Reporting to the IT Director, the Intacct Administrator role is for an experienced accounting/finance system admin who can work in a fast-paced, service-oriented organization. We are building Great Minds IT environment from the ground up and looking for someone with a start-up mentality, great at managing multiple priorities, has excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.

As an Intacct Administrator, you will be a key member of the team and will be the liaison between the technical and functional support for the Accounting/Finance group. Also, you will work closely with the Salesforce development and Business Operations teams to support system improvement projects. You will manage the implementation and change management process for all Intacct related changes.

An ideal candidate will have an accounting background and in-depth Intacct functional knowledge. You will be responsible for system configuration, workflow management, process design and managing users and security permissions. As the Intacct SME, you will translate business requirements from stakeholders into actionable technical solutions.

This position is based in our Washington, DC office.


  • Take a hands-on approach to troubleshoot process, functional, and application issues. Coordinating with internal departments, Intacct engineering or third-party vendors, as needed.
  • Subject matter expert for Intacct. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Intacct's functionality, software releases, and new product offerings.
  • Design and support implementation of enhancements to Intacct, as well as the configuration of Intacct to support integrations from third-party source applications and systems.
  • Setup and configure 3rd party integration tools.
  • Assist the Accounting/Finance team with financial system upgrades and enhancements, conversions, and supporting system interfaces.
  • Develop reports and dashboards utilizing the Intacct tools.
  • Assist with creation of new workflows or modification of existing workflows.
  • Implement Intacct end user training and documentation.
  • Analyze transactions and monitor coding errors.
  • Update, create and assign users and security permissions.
  • Maintain and modify approval and business processes.
  • Update vendor, customer or employee information, default dimension data and add custom fields.


  • 2 to 4 years of experience as an Accounting System Administrator. Overall 7+ years of experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Sage Intacct System Administrator experience, modules including AP, AR, GL, T&E, and PO. (1+ year Preferred)
  • Experience creating custom reports and documents with Intacct.
  • General accounting knowledge (GL/AR/AP).
  • Experience with other ERP packages such as Microsoft Dynamics or NetSuite is a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience with business systems; Financials, BI/Analytics, Order Management, Billing Systems, CRM, etc.
