The success of the ELA offering was followed by being awarded 3 contracts to develop a PreK-12 math curriculum for the New York State Education Department.  Great Minds owns this curriculum, which is now widely used throughout the US as Eureka Math.  Great Minds presently employs more than 200 people.    Great Minds’ business model has moved from grant and contract solicitation to direct revenue generation over the last 3 years. Job Description

The PhD Science Assets and Permissions Manager provides assistance to the Senior Operations Manager, Director of Science, and the entire PhD Science team at Great Minds. General duties include managing assets and permissions, liaising with external digital and print vendors, and project management. 

Requirements

Working under the direction of the Senior Operations Manager, the Assets and Permissions Manager’s specific responsibilities include:

 

Program Support

 

  • Manage author created images and ensure compliance with image guidelines
  • Manage permission requests for third-party assets, e.g. images, texts, links and ensure compliance with image guidelines
  • Liaise with partners to create digital materials
  • Monitor trade book selection process
  • Liaise with content and operations team to ensure assets and materials deliveries and approvals meet production deadlines
  • Liaise with Cricket Media to acquire, edit, and permission articles to include in the curriculum

 

Project Management

  • Support Senior Operations Manager and content team in tracking and meeting curriculum development deadlines
  • Support and/or contribute to the development of new curricular products, at times serving as the project manager for various-sized projects 
  • Adoption support
    • Maintain a database of proposal responses and common FAQs
  • Ensure proposal responses match the Great Minds Style Guide, at times completing copy-editing and formatting tasks 
  • Support the Proposal Coordinator with any duties as assigned 

Must have attributes

  • Experience in project management software a plus
  • Possess excellent writing skills to be applied to both original work and copy-editing tasks
  • Be a quick study and intellectually curious, paying high attention to details
  • A passion for K-12 education and desire to be surrounded by other mission-driven individuals
  • Have an entrepreneurial spirit and desire to work in a rapidly growing company
  • Willingness to learn and study the PhD Science curriculum as well as company-specific procedures
  • Ability to thrive in deadline-driven environment
  • Be a self-starter who can work independently or collaboratively with a remote team
  • Organized and detail-oriented with excellent follow-up skills
  • Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Personable with ability to maintain sense of humor under pressure
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
