Position Summary
The Associate Product Manager for Humanities will be responsible for interacting with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure the Humanities team properly prioritizes products, includes the highest value scenarios, and delivers solutions to meet the market need. The Associate Product Manager functions as the voice of the customer and brings qualitative and quantitative data sets to support prioritization between and within product development. In addition, this role supports multiple humanities product management team members and roadmap initiatives.

While the work is remote and the ideal candidate will work well independently, this will also be a highly collaborative position, necessitating a strong sense of teamwork and cooperation.
Responsibilities
Understand customer, partner, and internal group drivers to identify and scope products and priorities that improve customer satisfaction, business performance, and user experience
Ensure product offerings meet performance expectations for consistency, accuracy, and timeliness of delivery
Use judgment, subject matter expertise, and proven methodologies to minimize and mitigate risk throughout development
Monitor specifications of products and participates in user acceptance testing
Research the competitive landscape including deep dives into key competitors and read shifts in customer preferences to inform product development, messaging, and positioning
Use customer feedback, market insights and metrics to identify trends across multiple customers segments and influences internal stakeholders and partners on product decisions
Write product requirements and support prioritization meetings
Create, update, and manage ISBN and Salesforce submissions based on approved business strategy
Interact with the Curriculum Development, Implementation Success, Sales, Operations, and Marketing teams to ensure success across Go to Market activities for each new product, featured launch, and iteration of existing products
Support senior-level product management team members in executing strategic initiatives, taking ownership within those initiatives to be an empowered problem solver
Job requirements
Required Qualifications
3+ years in product management, delivering customer facing K-12 educational products in print and digital form
Experience partnering with cross organizational teams across to influence and achieve results across multiple teams
Possessing a strategic and business-oriented mindset to deftly participate in cross-organizational projects that require a sophisticated level of sensitivity and excellent judgment
Proficient in MS office tools and experienced with development and enterprise software such as Atlassian suite (I.e.: Jira/Confluence), Salesforce and collaboration tools
A strong collaborator equally comfortable talking tech with developers, user experience with designers, copy and positioning with product marketers, numbers with finance and marketing, and strategy with executive leadership
Self-starter that thrives in fast-paced environments, detail-oriented and thorough
Strong organizational habits necessary for successful goal setting, project management, collective decision making, deadline execution, and record keeping
Ability to manage competing priorities and communicate effectively with others to achieve objectives and meet deadlines
Excellent written, verbal, and social communication skills needed to incorporate different points of view in service of developing a high-quality product
Willingness to exemplify Great Minds culture in all work environments, with an emphasis on trust, collegiality, continuous improvement, and quality
Deep respect for knowledge-building content and the ability to consult with experts to produce a high-quality product that meets market demands
Experience developing digital products and understanding the unique challenges associated with the transformation of print materials to a digital format

Alignment to Great Minds collaborative and authentic approach to the K-12 Humanities market
Ability to synthesize market, customer, and cross-organizational needs for teams, particularly teams new to product mindset, digital development, and revenue-driven decision-making
Preferred Qualifications
Agile and Product Management certifications preferred
Genuine interest in K-12 Humanities products and the importance they hold within the K-12 educational system
Passion for and commitment to the importance of high-quality, knowledge-rich curriculum
Commitment to high standards and continuous improvement
Proficiency at both working independently and collaborating as part of a team
Ability to remain flexible in an ambiguous, fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
