The HRBP will blend strategy and tactical to ensure our people strategy is aligned with our company strategy and mission. By partnering with senior leaders across a variety of functions, you will advocate for Great Minds culture and values, coach leaders on building and managing teams, and facilitate effective hiring, promotion, retention, and inclusion practices. As we are a rapidly growing company, we expect this role will be able to pivot from strategic conversations with leaders to managing tactical employee relations conversations.


  • Promote HR strategy across departments, including coaching, engagement and workforce planning
  • Build strong relationships and trust with leaders and colleagues, offer HR expertise and coaching on employee relations issues
  • Analyze data to develop proactive solutions to further support business objectives
  • Developing and monitoring KPIs in support of organizational scorecard
  • Provide leadership in aligning HR systems to organizational strategy
  • Provide coaching, mentoring to managers and staff
  • Assist with the communication and rollout of updated or new HR programs and policies
  • Manage overall talent acquisition efforts by partnering with the recruiting team to help with talent needs, prioritization, and progress against hiring plans
  • Support assigned client groups with updating annual resourcing plan to achieve core business targets and manage headcount budget
  • Coordinate with the legal team to ensure compliance with customer contracts
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts HR investigations and partners with HR leadership and legal department as needed.
  • Works with assigned departments on employee engagement, performance management, diversity/inclusion, succession/workforce development planning, leadership training, policy development administration and interpretation.


  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of HRBP experience
  • Ability to collaborate and proactively partner with assigned departments
  • Proven track record of identifying people problems and using strategic skills to drive and influence appropriate solutions within the business
  • Proven experience providing business insights to inform HR strategy
  • Experience in a fast-growing organization
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

This role is based in Washington, DC or Richmond, VA.
