Job Purpose
Great Minds is looking for an entrepreneurial and strategic analytics leader to join our team as a Director, Strategy & Analytics working in our Go-To-Market Operations and Analytics Department. This department partners directly with leaders in Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success, managing the planning, operations, and analytics that power performance management and operational strategy. In this role, you will build new performance analytics capabilities to enable Sales and Marketing, while advancing the existing capabilities supporting Success. Reports to Head of Operations and Analytics across Sales, Success, Marketing.
Core Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Manage and expand strategy & analytics function to assist leaders across Sales, Marketing, and Success to understand performance against KPIs and use data and insights to inform core business challenges and strategy
- Act as a leader to build a culture and establish a system of data-driven performance management at the team and individual levels to inform annual and day-to-day management of Sales, Marketing, and Success functions
- Build a system of modern, self-service analytics products and reporting tools, working closely with line managers and teams that manage source data systems across marketing, CRM, and fulfillment data systems
- Coordinate with the Enterprise Applications and Data Team to support the ongoing maintenance of analytics tools, reports, and dashboards
- Operate as a player-coach, managing the priorities and projects of team of analysts while independently conducting high-impact analyses
- Facilitate monthly and quarterly business reviews with Sales, Marketing, and Success leadership regarding performance against key divisional and individual KPIs
- Conduct complex analyses to support strategic decision making and planning (e.g., workforce capacity planning) throughout the year in collaboration with Sr. Leadership and turn into serviceable analytics tasks for a team of analysts
- Provide thought leadership and strategic thinking to translate business problems into analytical framework(s) and independently recommend actions to improve business performance
- Influence enterprise point-of-view on data product management, modern data pipelines, and advanced analytics and recommend projects to improve underlying infrastructure in collaboration with IT, Enterprise Applications, and Digital teams
- Support enterprise-wide projects to improve the quality and integrity of data across our core operational systems
- Build a sales and marketing analytics capability to support a high-growth sales engine
- Lead and mentor a team of analysts and support staff
Job requirements
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in analytics, finance, management consulting or professional services with 5+ years in a leadership position
- Experience leading a general strategy and analytics team or leading a sales and marketing analytics function
- Exceptional intellectual curiosity with strong ability to lead with asking questions to understand and conceptual and strategic understanding of problems
- Strong working knowledge of programming skills and ability to utilize a variety of data/analytic software/languages/tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R) and data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI)
- Strong working knowledge of data and systems from CRMs (e.g., Salesforce, Hubspot) and ERP (e.g., Intacct) systems
- Understanding of modern analytics pipelines (e.g., gathering data, ETL, automation, engineering, databases and storage, reshaping/cleaning/calculations, analysis, visualization)
- Exceptional ability to communicate clearly using presentation tools to tell a story through the data, with the confidence and composure to partner with executive management
- Track record of leading simultaneous initiatives, requiring collaboration across teams and functional areas, with tight deadlines; ability to balance short- & long-term strategic implications to meet business objectives
- Work ethic with the ability to adapt to the situation, be flexible, resourceful, and agile in terms of work planning, and the ability to think quickly on your feet
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical expertise regarding data models, database design, data mining and segmentation techniques
- Strong knowledge and understanding of experimental A/B test design and execution, analytic processes, predictive modeling, tools and technologies to drive solution development at scale. Be able to translate business requirements to analytical framework.
- Interest in K-12 public education, and an understanding of how data is and can be used to drive change from leadership all the way to the classroom
Required Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a Finance, Math, Computer Science or Engineering discipline
Preferred:
- Advanced degree in a related discipline strongly desired (i.e., Business, Math, Statistics)

The expected base salary range for this position is $147,000-$173,000, however the offered salary may be higher or lower than the above range dependent on numerous factors including, but not limited to location, work experience, skills and internal equity considerations. The base salary is not inclusive of benefits or other incentives.
