Job Purpose
The Data Analyst will work with Digital Product teams to understand how to better improve our software products for customer needs through usage analytics and insights. The candidate will assist with gathering requirements from stakeholders, working with the engineering team to source the data as needed, use a variety of tools and methods and to analyze and interpret the data, and finally build out and maintain dashboards and reports.
The Data Analyst will also participate in training the team on how to use various tools and interpret data and work towards empowering the digital team to self-serve data. Candidate should have a passion for data and enthusiasm for learning and discovering new information.
This position is an exceptional opportunity for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who possesses a commitment to Great Minds’ organizational vision and who has experienced project management skills. While the work is remote and the ideal candidate will work well independently, this is a highly collaborative position, necessitating a strong sense of teamwork and cooperation.
Responsibilities:
- Work with multiple stakeholders to understand business objectives and goals and help them envision the insights and questions that can be addressed with data, through the use of prototypes, discussion, and mock-ups
- Create and enhance dashboards and reports to monitor key performance indicators and track user behavior
- Aggregate and analyze data across disparate sources using a variety of analytical and statistical tools and methods and derive intelligence that can be turned into actionable insights
- Perform ad-hoc analysis to support strategic initiatives and business goals using a variety of methods such as SQL or Python querying, or GA4 explorations
- Coach product management in understanding how to use the data and data tools available to them
- Identify and implement opportunities and strategies for data quality improvements
- Manage GA4 properties to track digital platform activities including custom event management, report building, and configuring settings
Job requirements
- Two years experience working as a Data Analyst preferred, one year minimum required
- Analytical Skills – Ability to comprehend complex data sets and use querying and reporting tools to perform analyses on the data
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Google Analytics
- Experience with Google Analytics in configuring properties and maintaining custom parameters
- Experience and ability to communicate clearly using presentation tools such as Microsoft Power Point to tell a story through the data
- Coaching Skills – Ability to coach peers on how to use and interpret data and lead training sessions
- Experience with understanding and analyzing user and usage data in order to provide strategic insights and recommendations
- Beginner coding skills are a bonus
Required Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field

Location
- Remote; must be based in the United States in the Eastern Time Zone.
The expected base salary range for this position is $56,000-$69,000, however the offered salary may be higher or lower than the above range dependent on numerous factors including, but not limited to location, work experience, skills and internal equity considerations. The base salary is not inclusive of benefits or other incentives.
