Role Overview


Great Minds is looking for an exceptional strategic thinker and cross-functional leader to join our team as Associate Director, Services Strategic Planning working in our Customer Success Operations and Analytics team. In this role, the individual will be responsible for coordinating Success’s core strategic planning rhythm and driving a set of Success-wide strategic priorities.


This is a highly strategic and cross-functional role and must be adept at communicating and managing relationships at an executive level. This individual will work across Success teams and many other internal teams including curriculum development, sales, finance, HR, and IT. You should be an expert at driving new ideas with the ability to see them from the ideation phase to due diligence, execution, and iteration. This is an excellent opportunity for leader with experience in a high-paced corporate environment or a consultant specializing who has a keen interest in solving challenges in the way work gets done in a highly ambiguous environment.


Reports To: Senior Director, Services Operations & Analytics



Core Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Build deep understanding of other Success teams (Implementation Services, Service Design & Development, Research and Policy) to form strategic and longer-term viewpoints of how Success’s operating model can enable maximum scale, sustainability, and impact
  • Drive annual Success planning process to set priorities and develop a portfolio of strategic initiatives and projects
  • Conduct independent market research and analysis to inform future Success operating strategy
  • Track and report progress of strategic priorities, continually assess and manage risks and issues, ensure all risks/issues are brought to resolution in a timely and mutually agreeable manner
  • Independently a set of drive strategic projects and create compelling recommendations for new models, policies and processes, solutions, and tools to Success Leadership and the Great Minds executive leadership
  • Work closely with the Strategy & Analytics team to create data-informed insights and recommendations and identify opportunities for durable data products
  • Understand implications of new cross-team processes and systems and develop effective change management strategies and tactics
  • Coordinate rhythm of business for Success organization and establish and facilitate cross-team processes and systems such as annual budget development, and launches of new professional learning products or services

Job requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Economics, Finance, Math or Engineering discipline or equivalent experience
  • At least 7 years of experience in workforce or talent strategy leadership role in education professional learning or services background
  • At least 3 years of experience in cross-functional leadership role, leading and managing end-to-end execution of large, complex cross-functional projects or programs
  • Exceptional ability to tackle new ambiguous problems and build right-sized solutions that balance short-term and long-term needs
  • High intellectual curiousity with an entrepreneurial spirit and bias for action
  • Strong presentation skills with exceptional written and oral communication utilized for both internal and external audiences
  • Proven stakeholder engagement and management experience, coupled with finesse in building collaborative, mutually beneficial partnerships
  • Team player with a commitment to excellence and a high level of integrity

Preferred Qualifications

  • Passion for and commitment to the importance of high-quality, knowledge-rich curriculum and improving K-12 education in the US
  • Experience in product or project management, taking initiatives from conception to launch
  • Prior education leadership or management expertise
  • Understanding and experience in utilizing change management methodologies (e.g., Prosci)

The expected base salary range for this position is $123,000 -$135,000. The offered salary, benefits and other incentives are dependent on numerous factors including, but not limited to location, work experience, skills and internal equity considerations.
