Great Minds, a rapidly growing challenger brand in the Pk-12 instructional materials space, is seeking an experienced Associate Creative Director with a writing background to join our dynamic Marketing team.

Job Purpose
Great Minds is looking for a smart, sophisticated creative leader/writer to tell our challenger brand story with style. Our ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit with a background in writing, a clear vision, and a can-do attitude. They will be as comfortable playing on the field as they are coaching others. They have experience taking the complex and making it simple, and a joy for building the plane while flying it. 


  • Partner with Creative Director to build up in-house creative group responsible for the development of all marketing efforts and corporate branding materials
  • Help define, develop and embody the Great Minds voice and apply it enterprise wide
  • Steward Great Minds brand and products in the marketplace through creativity, consistency and strategic leadership
  • Write marketing content including video scripts, website pages, emails, collateral, social, advertising etc
  • Lead and develop unified creative platforms for integrated marketing efforts to align around throughout the year
  • Work with art directors, designers and external production vendors across all kinds of content — video, social, website, ad campaigns, pitch decks, collateral etc.
  • Develop creative strategy and thinking for expanding marketing efforts in new channels (YouTube Pinterest, PR etc)
  • Represent creative POV across the organization on product development and corporate branding


  • 10+ years of agency or client experience with a mix of B2B and B2C brands
  • Flexibility to juggle multiple projects and tight timelines
  • Ability to grasp and distill complex topics quickly
  • Vision to build talent and process for creativity to thrive
  • Diverse background across all types of content from email marketing to social media to advertising, websites and video content.
  • An interest in the education industry
  • Seasoned in digital and social marketing
