Job Purpose

The Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager will focus on taking our current Accounts Receivable function and developing it to handle Great Minds growth trajectory. The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded top performer who is willing to roll-up their sleeves and be a key contributor in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.

Reporting to the Assistant Controller; the AR Manager will manage the AR staff and be responsible for their timely preparation and distribution of invoices and owning the collections process. They will also be responsible for revenue recognition and all AR related reconciliations. The ideal candidate will also have experience with creating policies and procedures to:


Responsibilities 

  • Manage the Accounts Receivable Billing and Collection staff
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of invoices
  • Ensure high-quality collection processes and procedures
  • Ensure efficient and accurate cash posting processes and procedures
  • Serve as a resource for all billing, collection and cash posting issues
  • Responsible for Month End Reconciliations and researching any outstanding items
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedure documentation
  • Train and develop staff to ensure team is fully proficient in billing, collection and cash posting processes
  • Work closely with team members across different departments to help improve processes and system configurations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5-10 years’ experience as an AR Manager
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • High degree of proficiency with Excel
  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Experience with Intacct or a similar accounting system
